Alpine Ski and Snowboard
Northland Adaptive Recreation Ski Program offers one-to-one instruction in adaptive skiing and snowboarding techniques that accommodate people with a variety of disabilities. Downhill skiing and snowboarding lessons are available for beginner to advanced skiers and snowboarders. Our volunteer instructors specialize in teaching with the use of adaptive equipment to ski or ride for those who need it. As well as aiding with guidance and judgement for those who just need someone to ride with for safety.
We offer programs at both Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN, and Giants Ridge in Biwabik, MN.

2025-2026 Northland Ski & Snowboard Lottery
Northland Adaptive Recreation Ski & Snowboard program offers instruction in adaptive skiing and snowboarding techniques that accommodate people with a variety of disabilities. This may include those with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and visual impairments. We teach both beginner and advanced skiing and snowboarding lessons.
2025-26 Lottery for Lessons
Registration for the 2026 season is a lottery system where you will provide us your preference for day/time/location/paperwork for participation. Registering for the lottery is, NOT first-come, first-served, and does NOT guarantee an opportunity to participate due to availability, but we hope to accommodate as many participants as possible.
Lottery will remain open for all of 2025. Responses are due no later than 11:59 pm on Dec. 30th.. We will do our first lottery “draw of names” on Oct. 20th. We will do our second “draw of names on Nov. 19th, our third “draw of names” on Dec. 15th.
Lottery Confirmation
Results of the lottery will be sent out via email along with next-step instructions including Registration forms and Waivers. No registration payment is required at this time.

If selected NAR Registration forms and Waivers must be COMPLETED and turned in within 3 weeks or your spot will be given to someone on the waitlist.
