Climbing
Northland Adaptive Recreation offers instruction in adaptive climbing techniques that accommodate people living with a variety of disabilities. Adaptive equipment and skilled instructors make climbing possible for people with a wide range of abilities. This may include those with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and visual impairments. Participants are encouraged to learn basic and advanced climbing techniques and equipment.
2026 Lottery for Lessons
Registration for the 2026 season is a lottery system. By completing this form you are entered into it. The lottery will be pulled on March 5th. at which time you will be notified of the results and next steps if drawn. Registering for the lottery is, NOT first-come, first-served, and does NOT guarantee an opportunity to participate due to availability, but we hope to accommodate as many participants as possible.
Lottery is open from February 2nd until March 4th, 2026.
Lessons will be offered in two 3-week sessions.
COST: 3 week session= $65 (Cost Share/Scholarships are available)
In order to serve more participants, lottery entry will be for one session only.
All Adaptive Climbing Classes take place at the Burns Wellness Center on the main campus of The College of Saint Scholastica
Session A
Wednesdays: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM, March 25th – April 8th (geared towards beginners)
Wednesdays: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM, March 25th – April 8th (geared towards returners)
Session B
Wednesdays: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM, April 15th – April 29th (geared towards beginners)
Wednesdays: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM, April 15th – April 29th (geared towards returners)
