Yoga

Yoga is a form of exercise and is a method of maintaining whole-body wellness. Our adaptive yoga class is open to all bodies and abilities. Here at NAR, we empower individuals with disabilities or chronic health conditions to create an effective and safe yoga practice. We do this by teaching multiple variations, allowing the poses to be adapted to specific needs and abilities. So, grab a mat, a table, or your wheelchair and come begin your journey to total wellness.

Northland Adaptive Recreation’s yoga program offers instruction in adaptive yoga techniques that accommodate people with a variety of abilities. Adaptive equipment and highly skilled instructors make yoga possible for people with a wide range of abilities. This may include those with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and visual impairments.
